Job Summary
Front Desk Receptionist will provide excellent customer service to all patients in the call center. The associate will answer calls, verify and update patient demographic information, screen for program eligibility, and gather required information. They will also screen and schedule patient appointments based on medical need and established scheduling guidelines. Additionally, the role includes answering general questions, providing information, conducting appointment reminder calls, managing appointment reschedules, and scheduling lab result appointments as assigned. The position requires working a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify and update patient demographics, screen for program eligibility, and gather required information.
- Screen and schedule patient appointments based on medical need and established appointment scheduling guidelines.
- Perform appointment reminder calls, appointment reschedules, and lab result appointment scheduling as assigned.
- Answer general questions and provide relevant information to patients.
- Work a flexible schedule, including overtime, evenings, and weekends as necessary.
- Attend workshops, training sessions, and meetings as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of three months medical office experience or similarly related experience in a customer service setting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Bilingual – Vietnamese required.
Preferred Qualifications
- One-year medical office experience.
- Experience in community or public health preferred.
- Familiarity with medical practice management programs.
