  • Job Summary
    The Clinical Genetic Counselor provides remote genetic counseling services to patients across the United States, with a primary focus on hereditary cancer counseling. Responsibilities include pre-test consultations, results discussions, patient care coordination, and participation in educational and research initiatives. The counselor will collaborate with a large team of genetic counselors and medical geneticists to enhance patient experience and outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Provide genetic counseling for hereditary cancer patients, including pre-test and results discussions
    2. Coordinate patient care across multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of services
    3. Identify process improvements to enhance patient experience
    4. Participate in education and research initiatives supporting genetic counseling programs
    5. Collaborate with genetic counselors and medical geneticists in a team-based environment

    Required Qualifications
    1. Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling or related field
    2. Board certification in Genetic Counseling (ABGC or ABMGG)
    3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    4. Ability to provide counseling in a remote environment

    Preferred Qualifications
    1. Multi-state licensure for genetic counseling practice
    2. Prior experience in hereditary cancer counseling
    3. Experience with telehealth platforms and remote patient engagement

    Certifications
    1. Board Certified Genetic Counselor (required)
    2. Multi-state licensure (preferred)
