Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – ER I provides patient care within a fast-paced emergency department setting. This role requires strong clinical skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and effective communication with both patients and interdisciplinary team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care to patients in the emergency environment.
- Assist Registered Nurses (RNs) and providers with assessments, procedures, and treatments.
- Monitor patient status, document changes, and report concerns promptly.
- Administer medications as permitted by state regulations and facility policies.
- Support patient triage processes and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure efficient department flow.
- Adhere to infection control standards and all regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Active LPN license in the state (or compact equivalent if applicable).
- Previous Emergency Room experience strongly preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong critical thinking and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work every other weekend and 12-hour shifts.

- Experience in a high-volume emergency department setting.
