  • Job Summary
    The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – ER I provides patient care within a fast-paced emergency department setting. This role requires strong clinical skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and effective communication with both patients and interdisciplinary team members.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care to patients in the emergency environment.
    2. Assist Registered Nurses (RNs) and providers with assessments, procedures, and treatments.
    3. Monitor patient status, document changes, and report concerns promptly.
    4. Administer medications as permitted by state regulations and facility policies.
    5. Support patient triage processes and maintain accurate records.
    6. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure efficient department flow.
    7. Adhere to infection control standards and all regulatory requirements.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Active LPN license in the state (or compact equivalent if applicable).
    2. Previous Emergency Room experience strongly preferred.
    3. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
    4. Strong critical thinking and multitasking abilities.
    5. Ability to work every other weekend and 12-hour shifts.

    Preferred Qualifications (if any)
    1. Additional certifications as required by ER protocols.
    2. Experience in a high-volume emergency department setting.
