  • Job Summary
    The Nursing Supervisor provides leadership, coordination, and oversight of nursing staff to ensure safe, effective, and high-quality patient care. This role serves as a clinical and administrative resource, supervising daily operations, supporting staff development, and maintaining compliance with hospital policies, standards, and regulatory requirements. The supervisor promotes a positive work environment and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to achieve patient care goals.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Supervise nursing staff to ensure adherence to clinical standards and patient care protocols.
    2. Coordinate daily operations across assigned units.
    3. Provide clinical leadership and serve as a resource for staff during complex patient situations.
    4. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
    5. Support staff development through mentoring, training, and performance evaluation.
    6. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote coordinated patient care.
    7. Manage staffing levels and adjust assignments to meet patient needs.
    8. Respond to emergencies and provide guidance during critical incidents.
    9. Promote patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
    2. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent; Master’s degree preferred.
    3. Minimum of 3–5 years of clinical nursing experience.
    4. Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
    5. Strong knowledge of nursing practices, patient care standards, and hospital operations.
    6. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience in acute care or specialty units.
    • Certification in Nursing Administration or Leadership (e.g., NE-BC, CNML).
    • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

    Certifications
    1. Current RN license – required.
    2. BLS certification – required.
    3. ACLS certification – preferred.
    4. Leadership or administrative certification – preferred.
