Job Summary
The Genetic Counselor provides remote-based infertility counseling services for offices across the United States. This role includes delivering test results, conducting comprehensive counseling sessions, and serving as a genetic counseling resource for reproductive specialists working with diverse patient populations. Supported by a team of genetic counselors and medical geneticists, the Genetic Counselor also contributes to process improvements, patient experience initiatives, and educational and research projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide remote infertility counseling, including test result delivery and comprehensive sessions.
- Serve as a genetic counseling resource for reproductive specialists and patients.
- Collaborate with a team of genetic counselors and medical geneticists to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance patient experience.
- Participate in educational programs and research initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with professional standards and hospital policies.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional genetic counseling experience.
- Strong knowledge of infertility counseling and reproductive genetics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
- Prior experience in reproductive health or infertility counseling.
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote patient care.
- Experience contributing to research or educational initiatives.
Certifications (if any)
