  • Job Summary
    We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical Surgical/Telemetry team. The RN will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with diverse medical and surgical needs, while monitoring telemetry for cardiac and other critical conditions. This role requires strong clinical judgment, compassion, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Fulfill the needs of patients, families, and the community by performing a variety of patient care functions in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements.
    2. Deliver care to patients in a competent, capable, caring, and efficient manner.
    3. Apply knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan to provide age-appropriate care.
    4. Obtain and interpret patient information to determine individualized needs.
    5. Demonstrate understanding of the range of treatments required for medical-surgical and telemetry patients.
    6. Conduct initial assessments and determine appropriate nursing needs, with accurate documentation.
    7. Perform ongoing patient assessments, including review of systems, with timely documentation.
    8. Complete admission assessments within established timeframes according to policy and procedures.
    9. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
    10. Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, safety standards, and professional nursing practices.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state/district.
    2. Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
    3. Minimum of 2 years of RN experience.
    4. Minimum of 2 years of Medical Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience.
    5. NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
    6. Proficiency with Cerner electronic health record system.

    Preferred Qualifications (if any)
    1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
    2. Additional training or certifications in medical-surgical or telemetry nursing.
