Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in Oncology to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals undergoing cancer treatment, including administering medications, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in accordance with oncology treatment plans.
- Monitor and assess patient health status throughout treatment.
- Administer chemotherapy and other medications as prescribed (if certified).
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and ongoing care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in an oncology setting is highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Chemotherapy Certification (Chemo Certified)
- Prior experience in administering chemotherapy.
- Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) membership is a plus.
