JOB SUMMARY Performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures on patients according to physician's orders and established protocols. Operates MRI equipment, ensures patient safety, and maintains accurate records.
Key Responsibilities - Positions patients for MRI scans and administers contrast media as needed. - Operates MRI scanner and associated equipment to produce diagnostic images. - Explains procedures to patients and addresses any concerns. - Monitors patient well-being during scans and responds to emergencies. - Enters patient data and procedure information into the PACS system. - Performs quality control checks on MRI equipment. - Maintains a clean and safe MRI environment. - Follows all safety protocols and infection control procedures.
Schedule / Shift Per Diem
Required Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent. - Successful completion of an accredited MRI program.
Experience - Minimum 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist.
Certifications - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) or equivalent. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Skills - Proficient in operating MRI equipment. - Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology. - Excellent patient care and communication skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
EMR / Systems - Experience with PACS systems.
