JOB SUMMARY Provides technical assistance to surgeons and surgical teams during operative and invasive procedures.
Key Responsibilities • Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies. • Drape patients and create and maintain a sterile surgical field. • Hand instruments, sponges, and sutures to surgeons during procedures. • Assist with patient positioning and skin preparation. • Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and respond quickly and efficiently. • Maintain accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments. • Assist with dressing application and patient transfer post-procedure. • Clean and sterilize instruments and equipment after use. • Adhere to strict aseptic techniques and safety protocols. • Document patient care activities as required.
Required Qualifications • High School Diploma or GED equivalent. • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program. • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Certifications • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) is required.
Experience • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
Skills • Proficiency in aseptic technique. • Knowledge of surgical procedures and instrumentation. • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Schedule / Shift • Full-time position, requiring flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. • Rotating on-call schedule may be required.
