Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and patient-focused Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Ambulatory Care team. This role is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care in an outpatient setting, supporting patients with preventive care, chronic disease management, and pre- and post-procedural care. The RN will collaborate closely with physicians and healthcare professionals to deliver safe and efficient care in a clinic or outpatient facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments and obtain medical histories during outpatient visits.
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed.
- Assist with minor procedures and provide patient education regarding treatments and follow-up care.
- Monitor patients’ conditions and report changes to the healthcare team.
- Coordinate care plans, referrals, and follow-ups with other departments or specialists.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience, preferably in an outpatient or ambulatory care setting
- Strong knowledge of nursing practices and outpatient care procedures
- Proficient in patient education and communication
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Experience in chronic disease management, preventive care, or surgical follow-up
- Bilingual proficiency (if applicable to patient population)
Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (preferred)
