  • Job Summary  
    The Clinical Dietitian manages the nutritional needs of patients in accordance with procedural and diet manuals. This role develops and implements nutritional programs for Harbor Regional Health Community Hospital and provides direction to food service employees in delivering high-quality nutrition services.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Assess patients’ nutritional needs and develop individualized care plans.
    2. Implement and monitor nutrition programs to support patient health and recovery.
    3. Provide guidance and oversight to food service employees in the provision of nutrition services.
    4. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
    5. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, diet manuals, and regulatory standards.
    6. Educate patients and families on dietary requirements and nutrition-related health practices.
    7. Participate in program development and continuous improvement initiatives.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
    2. Certified Dietitian by the State of Washington within three (3) months of hire.
    3. Ability to lift 7 pounds overhead.
    4. Ability to push/pull tray cart for 300 feet.
    5. Knowledge of clinical nutrition, parenteral and enteral nutrition, and nutritional assessment.
    6. Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.

    Preferred Qualifications (if any)
    1. Experience in program development and implementation.
    2. Prior hospital or healthcare nutrition experience.

    Certifications (if any)
    1. Registered Dietitian (CDR) – required.
    2. Certified Dietitian state.
