Job Summary
Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse (RN) provides patient care within a hospital setting for individuals with a wide range of medical conditions, from simple to complex.
The RN collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients.
- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed treatments.
- Monitor physiological data and intervene as clinically required.
- Administer medications and blood products according to medical orders.
- Initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions.
- Assist physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.
- Communicate care plans clearly with patients and their families.
- Provide information regarding hospital procedures and discharge planning.
- Make appropriate referrals to relevant clinical personnel based on patient needs.
- Delegate tasks appropriately to support staff.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1+ year of nursing experience.
- Med Surg / Step Down experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- ICU experience.
Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
