  • Job Summary
    The Clinical Lab Scientist is responsible for analyzing laboratory specimens, ensuring accuracy in testing procedures, and reporting results in accordance with established laboratory policies. This role supports clinicians by providing reliable data for accurate patient assessment.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Analyze specimens in accordance with laboratory procedures and policies
    • Verify sample appropriateness prior to testing
    • Perform laboratory tests accurately and confirm unusual or abnormal results
    • Review and report test results in compliance with laboratory standards
    • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment
    • Follow safety protocols and handle hazardous and biohazardous materials appropriately
    • Maintain proper documentation and adherence to quality standards

    Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent
    • Certification as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist (e.g., CLS (NCA), MT (ASCP), or equivalent)
    • Must meet CLIA ‘88 requirements for performing high complexity testing
    • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
    • Laboratory equipment operation skills

    Preferred Qualifications
    • One year of general laboratory experience

    Certifications
    • CLS (NCA), MT (ASCP), or equivalent certification
