  • Job Summary
    We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Analyst to support day-to-day invoice approvals and payments across all entities within the BMC Health System. This role ensures timely vendor payments, resolves invoice issues, maintains vendor data, and enforces policies to safeguard the organization’s financial operations.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Distribute invoices, statements, and communications to appropriate parties for approval.
    2. Research and determine approvers when invoices lack clear instructions.
    3. Serve as a subject matter expert on AP policies and respond to staff inquiries.
    4. Re-route invoices to correct cost centers when necessary.
    5. Resolve rejected invoice issues by collaborating with vendors and end users.
    6. Prepare checks for mailing and enter credits as received.
    7. Work with buyers to resolve mismatches and recommend process improvements.
    8. Create and update departmental procedural documentation.
    9. Share workload coverage when team members are unavailable.
    10. Participate in special projects and other assigned duties.
    11. Maintain vendor database accuracy and compliance with naming conventions.
    12. Upload and prepare patient refund checks for mailing.
    13. Collect and update vendor data for annual 1099 issuance.
    14. Provide general departmental support (ordering supplies, maintaining records, issuing tax-exempt certificates, etc.).

    Required Qualifications
    1. High school diploma or equivalent.
    2. 3–5 years of experience in an Accounts Payable function.
    3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
    4. Ability to learn and effectively use Lawson/Infor General Ledger system.
    5. Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

    Preferred Qualifications
    1. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
    2. Prior experience with Lawson/Infor systems.
