  • Job Summary  
    We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment. The technologist will ensure patient safety, maintain high-quality imaging standards, and collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to support accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.

    Key Responsibilities
    Perform MRI examinations according to physician orders and established protocols
    Prepare patients for MRI procedures, explaining the process and addressing concerns
    Position patients correctly and operate MRI equipment to capture high-quality images
    Monitor patient condition during procedures, ensuring safety and comfort
    Maintain and calibrate MRI equipment, reporting issues as needed
    Adhere to safety standards, including proper use of contrast agents and screening for contraindications (e.g., implants, pacemakers)
    Document imaging procedures and maintain accurate patient records
    Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers to review and interpret imaging results
    Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and quality assurance guidelines

    Required Qualifications
    1. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
    2. Current ARRT certification in MRI (or eligibility)
    3. State licensure as required
    4. Strong knowledge of MRI safety protocols and imaging techniques
    5. Excellent communication and patient care skills
    6. Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team

    Preferred Qualifications
    1. Prior experience as an MRI Technologist in a hospital or outpatient setting
    2. Experience with advanced MRI techniques (e.g., functional MRI, cardiac MRI)
    3. Familiarity with PACS systems and electronic health records

    Certifications
    1. ARRT certification in MRI (required)
    2. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
    3. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (preferred)

    Competencies & Skills
    1. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols
    2. Technical proficiency with MRI equipment and imaging software
    3. Compassionate patient interaction and ability to ease patient anxiety
    4. Effective teamwork and collaboration with multidisciplinary staff
