  • Job Summary  
    The Registered Nurse – CVIR provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular and interventional radiology procedures. This role ensures patient safety, delivers high-quality care throughout the peri-procedural process, and collaborates closely with physicians, technologists, and other healthcare team members to achieve optimal outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Provide direct patient care before, during, and after cardiovascular and interventional radiology procedures
    2. Assist physicians and technologists during diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
    3. Monitor patient status, administer medications, and respond to emergencies as needed
    4. Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and follow-up care
    5. Maintain strict adherence to sterile techniques, infection control, and hospital safety protocols
    6. Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in electronic health records (EHR)
    7. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient workflow and patient-centered care

    Required Qualifications
    1. Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
    2. Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience, preferably in critical care, cath lab, or interventional radiology
    3. Strong knowledge of cardiovascular and interventional radiology procedures
    4. Excellent communication and teamwork skills
    5. Ability to adapt quickly in high-pressure, fast-paced environments

    Preferred Qualifications (if any)
    1. Prior experience in CVIR or cath lab nursing
    2. Familiarity with advanced imaging and interventional technologies
    3. Experience with moderate sedation and hemodynamic monitoring

    Certifications (if any)
    1. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
    2. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
    3. CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification preferred
