  • Job Summary:
    The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is responsible for delivering high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill newborns. This role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams and families to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensure patient safety, and promote optimal outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Provide comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to neonates in the NICU.
    • Conduct patient assessments and monitor changes in condition.
    • Develop, implement, and adjust individualized care plans in coordination with the healthcare team.
    • Administer medications and perform critical nursing interventions as necessary.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes in patient records.
    • Communicate effectively with physicians, families, and team members to ensure continuity of care.
    • Comply with all hospital policies, nursing standards, and regulatory requirements.
    • Uphold the American Nurses Association (ANA) Standards of Professional Nursing Practice.

    Required Qualifications:
    • Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
    • Proficiency in English (both written and verbal).
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
    • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Previous experience working in a NICU or other critical care setting.
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively during night shifts.
    • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
