Duties:
- Monitor and manage critically ill neonates and pediatric patients
- Administer medications, including vasoactive drips and sedatives
- Operate and troubleshoot advanced life support equipment (e.g., ventilators, ECMO)
- Perform and assist with procedures such as intubation, central line placement, and lumbar puncture
- Continuously assess patient conditions and respond to rapid changes
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including physicians, respiratory therapists, and pharmacists
- Provide emotional support and education to patients' families
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care
- Participate in code blue and emergency response situations
- Implement infection control and safety protocols
- Prepare and manage complex medication infusions and titrations
- Provide age-appropriate care from neonates to adolescents
- Assist in transport of critically ill patients within the hospital or to other facilities
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and continuing education
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of medical equipment
