Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mammographer to join our diagnostic imaging team. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality mammographic examinations, ensure patient comfort and safety, and contribute to early detection and diagnosis of breast conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures in accordance with established protocols.
- Position patients correctly and operate imaging equipment to obtain optimal images.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process.
- Maintain accurate patient records and document imaging procedures.
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers to support timely and accurate diagnoses.
- Adhere to radiation safety standards and infection control guidelines.
- Provide patient education regarding procedures and follow-up care.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree or Certificate in Radiologic Technology.
- Current state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.
- Strong technical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
- Prior experience specifically in mammography.
- Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Sciences or related field.
- Experience working in a hospital or outpatient imaging center.
Certificatiaons (if any)
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography required.
- ARRT certification in Mammography strongly preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
