  • Job Summary  
    The Registered Nurse – NICU provides specialized nursing care to neonatal patients with health conditions ranging from simple to highly complex. Working under general supervision, the RN delivers safe, evidence-based care while collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes for patients and families.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Assume responsibility for an assigned group of neonatal patients.
    2. Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed treatments.
    3. Monitor physiological data and intervene as necessary.
    4. Administer medications and blood products as prescribed.
    5. Initiate, regulate, and monitor IV infusions.
    6. Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.
    7. Communicate care plans effectively with families and provide discharge education.
    8. Delegate appropriate tasks to support staff.
    9. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital standards.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
    2. Current Oklahoma RN license or multistate compact RN license.
    3. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association).
    4. Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (American Heart Association).
    5. Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.
    Preferred Qualifications (if any)
    1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

    Certifications (if any)
    1. BLS – required.
    2. NRP – required.
