Job Summary
The HIM Analyst I is responsible for conducting retrospective chart audits, managing clinical documentation, and ensuring data integrity across health information systems. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with hospital staff across departments. The analyst will support Epic, ChartMaxx, and transcription systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining accurate patient records.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct retrospective chart audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Review and monitor clinical documentation and scanned records in Epic and ChartMaxx.
- Manage failed fax distributions of discharge summaries to physicians.
- Support Epic “Release to Inspector” for record audits.
- Maintain HIM ServiceNow work queue (account creation, scan deletions).
- Resolve data integrity issues such as patient name changes, merges, or aliases.
- Coordinate with IT teams to resolve system or integration issues.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness in documentation and reporting.
Required Skills
