Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Room (ER) team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. You will be responsible for rapid assessment, treatment, and stabilization of patients with a wide range of medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Triage and assess patients upon arrival in the emergency department.
- Administer medications, start IVs, and perform emergency procedures as ordered.
- Monitor vital signs and continuously evaluate patient conditions.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and interventions accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and families during crisis situations.
- Respond promptly and effectively to life-threatening emergencies, including cardiac arrests and trauma cases.
- Maintain infection control and safety standards throughout patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Associate degree in Nursing (ADN); Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience, preferably in an emergency department or acute care setting.
- Proficiency in emergency care procedures and protocols.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in an emergency or trauma setting.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Bilingual communication skills.
Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – Required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – Preferred
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) – Preferred
