  • Job Summary  
    The Registered Nurse (RN) in Telemetry provides direct patient care in a specialized unit where patients require continuous cardiac monitoring. The RN is responsible for assessing patient conditions, administering treatments, and collaborating with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective care.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring telemetry monitoring.
    2. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
    3. Monitor cardiac rhythms and promptly respond to changes in patient condition.
    4. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
    5. Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams.
    6. Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
    7. Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record.
    8. Adhere to hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards.
    9. Support quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practices.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
    2. Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ASN/BSN).
    3. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
    4. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    6. Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.

    Preferred Qualifications
    1. Prior experience in telemetry, cardiac, or critical care nursing.
    2. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

    Certifications (if any)
    1. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
    2. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
