  • Job Summary
    The Telemetry Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care to patients who require continuous cardiac monitoring. This role involves assessing patients, interpreting cardiac rhythms, and responding quickly to changes in patient conditions. The RN works closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care in a telemetry unit.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry rhythms and respond promptly to any abnormalities.
    2. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in coordination with the healthcare team.
    3. Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with hospital protocols and standards.
    4. Provide education and emotional support to patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery.
    5. Document patient care accurately and timely using electronic medical records.
    6. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.
    7. Maintain patient safety and adhere to infection control procedures and hospital guidelines.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Minimum of 1 year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience in a telemetry or step-down unit.
    2. Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
    3. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where care is provided.
    4. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
    5. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
    6. Completion of a Basic Arrhythmia course.

    Preferred Qualifications
    1. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related healthcare field.
