  • Job Summary
    The Registered Nurse (RN) in Medical Surgical provides high-quality nursing care to adult patients recovering from surgery or managing acute and chronic medical conditions. The RN monitors patient status, administers medications and treatments, and collaborates with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Assess and monitor patients’ medical conditions and progress.
    2. Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy as prescribed.
    3. Identify changes in patient condition and communicate concerns to physicians and care teams promptly.
    4. Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs.
    5. Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans, post-operative care, and health management.
    6. Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic medical records.
    7. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
    8. Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions as needed.
    9. Ensure compliance with infection control, safety protocols, and hospital policies.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
    2. Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
    3. Minimum of 1-2 years nursing experience in a medical-surgical setting.
    4. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
    5. Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
    6. Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
