  • Job Summary
    The Radiologic Technologist – Interventional Radiology provides imaging support for interventional procedures, ensuring accurate diagnostic imaging and patient safety. This role works closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality radiologic services in a fast-paced clinical environment. The technologist is responsible for preparing patients, operating imaging equipment, and maintaining compliance with regulatory and hospital standards.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Perform diagnostic imaging during interventional radiology procedures.
    2. Prepare patients by explaining procedures, positioning, and ensuring comfort and safety.
    3. Operate radiologic equipment including fluoroscopy and digital imaging systems.
    4. Assist physicians during interventional procedures by providing imaging guidance.
    5. Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection control protocols.
    6. Document imaging results and patient records accurately.
    7. Ensure radiation safety for patients, staff, and self.
    8. Support equipment maintenance and report malfunctions promptly.
    9. Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
    2. ARRT certification in Radiography; additional certification in Interventional Radiology preferred.
    3. State licensure as required.
    4. Strong knowledge of interventional radiology procedures and imaging techniques.
    5. Excellent communication and patient care skills.
    6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

    Preferred Qualifications
    1. Prior experience in interventional radiology or related specialty.
    2. Familiarity with advanced imaging technologies and digital systems.
    3. Experience in hospital or outpatient clinical settings.

    Certifications
    1. ARRT certification (Radiography required; Interventional Radiology preferred).
    2. State licensure as applicable.
    3. BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
