    JOB TITLE: NICU RN

    JOB SUMMARY
    Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill newborns in a Level III or IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

    Key Responsibilities
    Respond to neonatal emergencies and provide critical care interventions.
    Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and manage ventilators and other life support equipment.
    Perform specialized procedures such as therapeutic hypothermia, UAC/UVC insertions, and tracheostomy care.
    Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
    Educate and support parents regarding infant care and medical conditions.
    Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely.
    Float to Pediatric, PICU, or Nursery units to care for infants up to 12 months old as needed.

    Schedule / Shift
    12-Hour Nights; 18:45 - 07:15
    36 Hours Only

    Required Qualifications
    Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Level III or IV NICU.

    Certifications
    BLS
    NRP

    Experience
    3 years of NICU experience required.
    Vents experience.

    Skills
    Ventilator management.
    Neonatal resuscitation.
    Specialized infant procedures.

    EMR / Systems
    EPIC
    Pyxis
    SBAR
    4P

    Patient Population
    Premature infants (as low as 22 weeks gestation).
    Infants requiring surgical intervention.
    Infants with hypoxic injury.

    Unit / Specialty
    Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) - Level III or IV

    Floating / On-Call
    Float to Pediatric, PICU, or Nursery units caring for infants up to and including 12 months.
    No Call Requirement.

    Weekend Requirement
    Requires working 3 Fridays, 3 Saturdays, and 3 Sundays within a 6-week period.
