JOB SUMMARY Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill newborns in a Level III or IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Key Responsibilities Respond to neonatal emergencies and provide critical care interventions. Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and manage ventilators and other life support equipment. Perform specialized procedures such as therapeutic hypothermia, UAC/UVC insertions, and tracheostomy care. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans. Educate and support parents regarding infant care and medical conditions. Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely. Float to Pediatric, PICU, or Nursery units to care for infants up to 12 months old as needed.
