Job Summary

Seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro Med/Surg unit caring for stroke, neurosurgery, epilepsy, and other neurological patients. Candidates must have Med/Surg, Neuro, and Telemetry experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide care for Neuro Med/Surg patients
• Monitor telemetry and manage dysrhythmias
• Perform IV starts and routine Med/Surg nursing care
• Float to other MS/Tele units as needed

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of RN experience
• 1+ year direct Med/Surg experience required
• Neuro Med/Surg experience required
• Telemetry and dysrhythmia management experience required
• IV start skills required
• Must have completed at least 2 successful travel contracts
• First-time travelers not accepted
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS certification

Certifications

• BLS
• NIH
• NIHSS

Preferred: ACLS

Assignment Details

• 20+ Week Contract (through February 27, 2027)
• 12-Hour Days
• 36 or 48 Hours Available
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Every Other Weekend Required
• Floating to MS/Tele units, including COVID care units, may be required
• Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR utilized

• Patient population includes Stroke, Neurosurgery, Epilepsy, and Subdural Hematoma patients
• 43-Bed Unit | Average Census: 42
• 4-Bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU)
• 36-Hour Orientation
• Navy Scrubs
• Block Scheduling Not Guaranteed
• No additional RTO after booking
