JOB TITLE: Histotechnologist - Histology/Surgical Bench

JOB SUMMARY
Performs a variety of technical procedures in the Histology laboratory to provide tissue samples for microscopic examination.

Key Responsibilities
• Performs tissue cutting and embedding.
• Processes tissue specimens for microscopic examination.
• Prepares slides for pathologist review.
• Maintains laboratory equipment and supplies.
• Follows established laboratory safety policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications
• Certified Histotech - HT (ASCP).
• Experience in a high-volume hospital-based histology lab.

Preferred Qualifications
• HT (ASCP) with 5 years of experience.
• Experience with lab specimen handling.
• Experience with Epic Beaker.

Certifications
• HT (ASCP) license required prior to start.

Experience
• Experience in a high-volume hospital-based histology lab.

EMR / Systems
• Epic Beaker (preferred).

Physical Environment Requirements
• Sitting and standing as needed.
