Job Description:

  • JOB SUMMARY
    Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to adult patients in both inpatient and acute rehabilitation settings. Evaluate and re-evaluate assigned patients, developing and implementing individualized therapeutic plans as prescribed by physicians. Manage a full caseload independently, ensuring timely updates to treatment plans and home exercise programs, and understanding insurance authorization requirements for re-evaluations.

    Key Responsibilities
    - Conduct patient evaluations and re-evaluations for outpatient and inpatient settings.
    - Develop and implement therapeutic plans based on physician orders.
    - Regularly update patient treatment plans and home exercise programs.
    - Independently manage a full patient caseload.
    - Determine the necessity of re-evaluations based on insurance authorization.
    - Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

    Schedule / Shift
    Days, Monday - Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. Must be available to work Hawaii State and Federal Holidays as needed based on hospital operations.

    Required Qualifications
    - Must possess an active State of Hawaii Occupational Therapist license.
    - BLS certification from the American Red Cross.

    Experience
    - Minimum 2 years of work experience in adult outpatient and acute rehabilitation settings.

    Skills
    - Proficient in occupational therapy techniques for adult populations.
    - Strong understanding of treatment planning and insurance authorization processes.
    - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
