  • Job Summary
    The Registered Nurse – Medicine Specialty provides patient-centered care in medical-surgical and step-down units within a hospital setting. This role requires strong clinical expertise, adaptability in fast-paced environments, and the ability to collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe and effective care.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Deliver nursing care to patients in Med Surg (MS) and Step Down (SD) units.
    2. Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and provide IV therapy.
    3. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans.
    4. Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in compliance with hospital standards.
    5. Support patients and families with education and discharge planning.
    6. Maintain safety and quality standards in all aspects of patient care.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.
    2. Experience in Med Surg (MS) and Step Down (SD) required.
    3. Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program.
    4. Active RN License – State or Compact RN License (eNLC).
    5. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

    Preferred Qualifications
    1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
    2. Travel nursing experience.
    3. Level 1 Trauma experience.
    4. ICU experience.

    Certifications
    1. BLS certification required.
    2. Additional specialty certifications (e.g., ACLS, CCRN) are considered a plus.
