  • Job Summary  
    We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide direct patient support under the supervision of nurses and physicians. The PCT will assist with daily patient care activities, monitor vital signs, and ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients. This role is essential in supporting clinical teams and enhancing the overall patient experience.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, feeding, and mobility.
    2. Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
    3. Support nurses and physicians in patient care procedures and treatments.
    4. Collect specimens for lab testing and perform basic diagnostic tasks as directed.
    5. Maintain patient rooms and equipment in clean, safe, and functional condition.
    6. Respond promptly to patient calls and requests with empathy and professionalism.
    7. Document patient care activities accurately in medical records.
    8. Transport patients safely within the facility as needed.
    9. Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards.
    10. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and families.

    Required Qualifications
    1. High school diploma or equivalent.
    2. Completion of a Patient Care Technician training program or equivalent healthcare experience.
    3. Strong knowledge of basic patient care practices and medical terminology.
    4. Ability to monitor vital signs and assist with clinical procedures.
    5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    6. Compassionate approach to patient care with attention to detail.
    7. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
    8. Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.

    Preferred Qualifications
    1. Prior experience in hospital, long-term care, or outpatient settings.
    2. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
    3. Experience with phlebotomy or specimen collection.

    Certifications
    1. Certified Patient Care Technician (CPCT) – preferred.
    2. CPR/BLS certification – required or must be obtained upon hire.
