Job Description:

  • JOB SUMMARY  
    Registered Nurse -Cardiology will take care for critically ill patients in the Cardiac Cath Lab undergoing Interventional Cardiology and Endovascular procedures. Will be assigned STEMI call with a 30-minute response time.

    Key Responsibilities  
    • Provide care for patients undergoing interventional and endovascular procedures in the Cath Lab.  
    • Respond to STEMI calls within a 30-minute window.  
    • Perform preoperative and postoperative patient care.  
    • Monitor and sedate patients during procedures.  
    • Manage ventilators and advanced hemodynamic monitoring systems (e.g., IABP, IMPELLA).  
    • Operate within physical demands including lifting and pushing heavy weights with assistance.  
    • Work in environments with exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids, and chemicals.  
    • Utilize EPIC, XPER, and Change Health Care systems.
    Required Qualifications  
    • Cath Lab experience.  
    • Proficiency in preoperative/postoperative care.  
    • Experience with patient monitoring and sedation.  
    • Advanced hemodynamic monitoring skills (IABP, IMPELLA).  
    • Ventilator management experience.
    Preferred Qualifications  
    None specified.

    Certifications  
    • Valid RN licensure in the state of Ohio.  
    • ACLS and BLS certifications from the American Heart Association only.
