  • Job Summary:
    The Registered Nurse in the Operating Room (OR) provides expert perioperative nursing care to surgical patients. This role involves preparing the OR environment, assisting surgeons during procedures, and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical experience.

    Key Responsibilities:
    1. Prepare the operating room by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies.
    2. Assist surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams during operations.
    3. Monitor patients’ vital signs and condition before, during, and after surgery.
    4. Ensure strict adherence to aseptic and infection control protocols.
    5. Provide post-operative care, including patient education on recovery and wound care.
    6. Document surgical procedures, patient status, and nursing interventions accurately.
    7. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
    8. Respond promptly to emergencies or complications during surgery.

    Required Qualifications:
    1. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
    2. Minimum 2 years of experience in surgical nursing or operating room settings.
    3. Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and patient safety protocols.
    4. Excellent critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
    5. Ability to perform under pressure in fast-paced environments.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    1. Certification in Perioperative Nursing (CNOR) or equivalent.
    2. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and surgical documentation systems.

    Certifications:
    1. Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
    2. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
