Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to support physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality patient care. The Medical Assistant will perform both clinical and administrative duties, ensuring smooth operations in the healthcare setting and enhancing the patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and prepare patients for examinations, recording vital signs and medical history.
- Assist physicians and nurses during patient examinations and procedures.
- Administer basic clinical tasks such as injections, EKGs, and specimen collection (as permitted by state regulations).
- Schedule appointments, manage patient records, and handle billing or insurance documentation.
- Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies in a clean and organized manner.
- Provide patient education and instructions as directed by healthcare providers.
- Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and confidentiality standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a healthcare or clinical setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and electronic medical records (EMR).
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent).
- Prior experience in a specialty clinic or hospital setting.
- Bilingual skills for patient communication.
Certifications (if any)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
