Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Coordinator to support the Residency and Fellowship Program. This role is responsible for managing scheduling, onboarding, and coordination functions to ensure smooth program operations. The Medical Coordinator will serve as a key liaison between faculty, fellows, residents, and administrative staff, while maintaining compliance with institutional requirements and departmental needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily program operations, including scheduling meetings, luncheons, and departmental events.
- Manage onboarding processes for students, residents, and fellows.
- Support program faculty and trainees with administrative needs.
- Facilitate communication through platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and MedHub.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in Epic and other program systems.
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies and program requirements.
- Provide logistical support for departmental meetings and special events.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and enhance program efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, education, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 2 years of administrative or program coordination experience.
- Proficiency in Epic electronic health record system.
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing departmental needs.
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
- Experience with MedHub, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom.
- Prior experience coordinating residency or fellowship programs.
- Background in onboarding healthcare trainees.
Certifications (if any)
- None required; program or administrative certifications are a plus.
