  • JOB SUMMARY
    The House Supervisor is responsible for overseeing hospital operations during their assigned shift, ensuring efficient patient flow, staff management, and response to emergent situations. They act as a liaison between departments and leadership, addressing issues that arise to maintain a safe and effective patient care environment.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide leadership and support to nursing staff and other hospital personnel during the shift.
    • Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges to optimize bed management and patient flow.
    • Respond to and manage emergent situations, including codes, disasters, and critical incidents.
    • Serve as a point of contact for complex patient care issues and staff concerns.
    • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
    • Facilitate communication between departments, physicians, and administration.
    • Monitor staffing levels and reallocate resources as needed to meet patient care demands.
    • Address patient and family concerns and facilitate resolution.

    Schedule / Shift
    • Night Shifts: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM
    • Every other weekend

    Required Qualifications
    • Current RN license in the state of practice.
    • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of acute care nursing experience.
    • Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
    • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.

    Certifications
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.

    Experience
    • Experience in hospital operations and management.
    • Experience with crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
