  • Job Summary
    We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive nursing care in the Interventional Radiology department. The RN will assist with diagnostic and therapeutic radiological procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process. This role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with the radiology and medical teams.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Prepare patients for interventional radiology procedures, including assessment, education, and obtaining informed consent.
    2. Monitor patients’ vital signs and overall condition before, during, and after procedures.
    3. Assist physicians and technologists during interventional procedures such as angiography, biopsies, drainages, and other minimally invasive treatments.
    4. Administer medications, including contrast agents and sedation, following protocols and physician orders.
    5. Maintain sterile technique and ensure all equipment and supplies are ready and functioning properly.
    6. Provide post-procedure care and instructions, monitoring for complications and ensuring patient comfort.
    7. Document all patient care activities and procedure details accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
    8. Adhere to all safety, infection control, and radiation safety protocols.
    9. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and workflow efficiency.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
    2. Previous experience in Interventional Radiology or a related specialty preferred.
    3. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
    4. Advanced certifications such as ACLS or PALS may be preferred depending on facility requirements.
    5. Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
    6. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

    Preferred Qualifications
    1. Experience with sedation administration and monitoring.
    2. Knowledge of radiology equipment and radiation safety.
    3. Excellent communication and patient education skills.

    Certifications
    1. BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
    2. ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – Preferred
    3. PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – Preferred (if applicable)
