Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Internal Medicine team. The RN will provide direct patient care, coordinate treatment plans, and support physicians in diagnosing and managing complex medical conditions. This role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to deliver safe, evidence-based care in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including assessments, medication administration, and monitoring of vital signs.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families on disease management, medications, and lifestyle modifications.
- Document patient information accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Assist with diagnostic procedures and ensure proper specimen collection.
- Monitor patient progress and promptly report changes in condition.
- Uphold infection control and patient safety standards.
- Support discharge planning and continuity of care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the Internal Medicine department.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in Internal Medicine or related specialties.
- Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
- Prior experience in acute care or outpatient Internal Medicine settings.
- Excellent patient education and counseling skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to diverse patient needs and complex medical conditions.
Certifications (if any)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – preferred.
