  • Job Summary 
    The Registered Nurse – Primary Care provides patient-centered nursing support in an outpatient clinic setting. This role focuses on telephone triage, vaccine administration, and assisting with appointment scheduling when needed. The RN will collaborate with providers and staff to ensure efficient care delivery, accurate documentation, and compassionate patient interactions.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Perform telephone triage, assessing patient needs and providing appropriate guidance or referrals
    2. Manage in-basket calls and messages, ensuring timely follow-up and communication with patients and providers
    3. Administer vaccines safely and accurately according to clinical protocols
    4. Assist with scheduling patient appointments when necessary to support clinic flow
    5. Document patient interactions and care in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
    6. Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare team members to deliver coordinated care
    7. Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and organizational standards

    Required Qualifications
    1. Current RN license in the state of practice
    2. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with commitment to obtain BSN
    3. Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
    4. Ability to multitask and manage patient needs in a fast-paced outpatient environment
    5. Preferred Qualifications (if any)
    6. Experience with EPIC or other electronic medical record (EMR) systems
    7. Prior experience in primary care, outpatient, or ambulatory nursing settings

    Certifications (if any)
    1. Basic Life Support (BLS) – required
    2. Immunization certification or training – preferred
