  • JOB SUMMARY
    The Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (ICU) provides specialized nursing care to critically ill patients requiring close monitoring and advanced medical interventions. This role demands strong clinical expertise, quick decision-making, and the ability to deliver compassionate care in a high-acuity environment while collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Deliver direct patient care in the ICU, including assessment, monitoring, and treatment of critically ill patients.
    • Administer medications, IV therapies, and advanced interventions as prescribed.
    • Operate and monitor life-support equipment such as ventilators and cardiac monitors.
    • Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and initiate emergency interventions.
    • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
    • Educate patients’ families on treatment plans, recovery expectations, and ongoing care needs.
    • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to ICU nursing best practices.

    Required Qualifications
    • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
    • Strong knowledge of critical care nursing practices and protocols.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Physical stamina to manage demanding ICU care situations.

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
    • Prior experience in ICU or critical care nursing.
    • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

    Certifications
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
    • Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification preferred.
