  • Job Summary
    We are seeking a Medical Assistant for a contract position in the Internal Medicine department located in Dedham, Massachusetts. The Medical Assistant will provide direct patient care support, assist physicians with procedures, and ensure smooth daily operations in the clinic. This is a full-time role, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Take patient vitals including blood pressure, weight, and pulse.
    2. Room patients and prepare them for examinations.
    3. Review and update patient health history.
    4. Assist physicians with medical procedures as needed.
    5. Restock supplies in exam rooms to ensure readiness.
    6. Communicate with patients regarding care and instructions.
    7. Document patient information and care activities using Epic.
    8. Perform light administrative tasks to support clinic operations.

    Required Qualifications
    1. High School Diploma or GED.
    2. Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a clinical support role.
    3. Knowledge of patient care practices and medical terminology.
    4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
    6. Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems (Epic preferred).
    7. Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.

    Preferred Qualifications (if any)
    1. Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA).
    2. Prior experience in Internal Medicine or similar clinical settings.

    Certifications (if any)
    1. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or equivalent certification preferred.
