  • Job Summary
    We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the sterile processing department. This role is responsible for ensuring the proper decontamination, sterilization, assembly, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment, while leading and mentoring a team to maintain compliance with hospital standards and patient safety requirements.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Supervise and coordinate the activities of sterile processing technicians
    2. Ensure proper cleaning, sterilization, and assembly of surgical instruments and equipment
    3. Monitor workflow to meet surgical schedules and patient care needs
    4. Conduct staff training, performance evaluations, and competency assessments
    5. Maintain accurate documentation of sterilization processes and inventory control
    6. Collaborate with surgical services and nursing staff to ensure timely delivery of instruments
    7. Enforce compliance with infection control standards, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements
    8. Identify process improvements and implement best practices for efficiency and safety

    Required Qualifications
    1. High school diploma or equivalent
    2. Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.
    3. Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques, infection control, and surgical instrumentation
    4. Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills

    Preferred Qualifications (if any)
    1. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or related field
    2. Prior supervisory experience in a hospital or surgical services environment

    Certifications (if any)
    1. Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (CRCST or equivalent) required
    2. Additional leadership or management certifications preferred
