Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care, coordinates care plans, and supports physicians and other healthcare professionals in delivering safe, effective, and compassionate care. This role requires strong clinical knowledge, critical thinking, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment while ensuring compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assessments, medication administration, and monitoring of patient conditions.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care.
- Document patient information accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Assist with diagnostic tests, procedures, and treatments as required.
- Respond to emergencies and provide appropriate interventions.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and quality standards.
- Support patient discharge planning and continuity of care.
- Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring dignity, respect, and compassionate care.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
- Strong clinical knowledge and patient care skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
- 1–3 years of nursing experience in acute care, outpatient, or specialty settings.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Specialty certifications (e.g., OB/Gyn, Pediatrics, Critical Care) depending on department needs.
