JOB SUMMARY Provide direct patient care and assist surgical teams during operative procedures.
Key Responsibilities - Prepare operating rooms, ensuring sterile conditions and availability of necessary instruments and equipment. - Assist surgeons and nurses by handing them instruments, supplies, and medications during surgery. - Maintain sterile field integrity throughout the duration of the surgical procedure. - Perform anticipated and unanticipated needs of the surgical patient and surgeon. - Participate in prepping and draping the surgical site. - Monitor patient's condition and report any changes to the surgical team. - Turn over the operating room to prepare for the next procedure. - Adhere to all infection control policies and procedures.
Schedule / Shift Weekend/Holiday rotation may be required.
Required Qualifications - High School Diploma or equivalent. - Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
Certifications - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Experience - Previous experience as a Surgical Technician is preferred.
Skills - Proficient in sterile technique and surgical instrumentation. - Ability to work effectively as part of a surgical team. - Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills. - Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
