  • Job Summary
    The Registered Nurse – Orthopedics provides direct patient care and clinical support in an orthopedic unit. This role involves assessing patient needs, administering treatments, coordinating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring high-quality care for patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, or conditions.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Provide direct patient care including assessments, medication administration, and wound care
    2. Support orthopedic procedures and post-operative recovery plans
    3. Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
    4. Educate patients and families on discharge instructions, rehabilitation, and ongoing care
    5. Monitor patient progress and document care accurately in the EMR
    6. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards

    Required Qualifications
    1. Current RN license
    2. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
    3. Minimum 1–2 years of nursing experience, preferably in orthopedics or surgical care
    4. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
    5. Excellent communication and patient-education abilities

    Preferred Qualifications
    1. Prior experience in orthopedic or surgical units
    2. Familiarity with post-operative rehabilitation and pain management protocols
    3. Knowledge of orthopedic equipment and assistive devices

    Certifications
    1. Basic Life Support (BLS) required
    2. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
