JOB SUMMARY Performs diagnostic echocardiograms and related procedures to assess cardiac function and structure. Assists physicians in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Key Responsibilities - Performs a variety of echocardiographic procedures, including transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms. - Operates ultrasound equipment to acquire diagnostic images. - Analyzes images for technical quality and diagnostic content. - Documents findings and prepares preliminary reports. - Maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to safety protocols. - Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Schedule / Shift Days
Required Qualifications - High School Diploma or equivalent. - Successful completion of an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program or cardiovascular technology program.
Certifications - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with a specialty in Adult Echocardiography (AE) OR Registered Cardiovascular Ultrasound Technologist (RCVT) OR Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS). - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
