JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MRI Technician to join our Radiology and Cardiology team. The ideal candidate will operate MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images of patients’ internal structures, with a focus on cardiovascular and neurological imaging. This role requires technical expertise, patient care skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate MRI scanners to capture high-quality diagnostic images
- Prepare patients for procedures, explain process, and ensure comfort and safety
- Position patients accurately and select appropriate imaging parameters
- Monitor patients during scans and respond to any adverse reactions
- Maintain and calibrate MRI equipment according to safety standards
- Collaborate with radiologists and cardiologists to ensure accurate imaging and diagnosis
- Document procedures and maintain patient records in EMR systems
- Adhere to infection control and radiation safety protocols
Required Qualifications:
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in radiologic technology or related field
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in MRI imaging, preferably in a cardiac or neuro setting
- Proficiency in operating MRI equipment and understanding of cross-sectional anatomy
- Strong communication and patient care skills
Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ARRT (MRI) certification or equivalent
