  • Job Summary
    We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Emergency Room (ER) team. The RN will provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients in urgent and emergent conditions, ensuring safety, comfort, and effective treatment in a fast-paced emergency setting. This role requires strong clinical skills, quick decision-making, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Assess, monitor, and manage the care of pediatric patients presenting with a wide range of urgent and emergent health conditions.
    2. Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to established protocols and physician orders.
    3. Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding care plans and discharge instructions.
    4. Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
    5. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
    6. Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies, including performing life-saving procedures as necessary.
    7. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control practices.
    8. Participate in ongoing professional development, training, and quality improvement initiatives.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Current and unrestricted RN license in the state of employment.
    2. Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
    3. Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in emergency or pediatric care.
    4. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
    5. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
    6. Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.

    Preferred Qualifications
    1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
    2. Previous experience in a Pediatric Emergency Room or Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
    3. Familiarity with emergency department protocols and pediatric care equipment.
    4. Ability to educate and support families in high-stress emergency situations.

    Certifications
    1. Basic Life Support (BLS) – required.
    2. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – required.
    3. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – preferred.
