JOB SUMMARY Provide direct patient care to individuals in a medical/surgical setting. Assess patient condition, plan and implement care, and evaluate outcomes. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient management.
Key Responsibilities - Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. - Monitor vital signs and patient progress. - Educate patients and families on health conditions and care plans. - Document patient care activities accurately and thoroughly. - Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. - Respond to patient needs and emergencies.
Schedule / Shift Nurses may be expected to work various shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed for patient care coverage.
Required Qualifications - Current RN license in the state of practice. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Experience - Previous experience in a Medical/Surgical unit is preferred.
Skills - Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. - Effective communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. - Proficient in electronic health record systems.
